First graders are great and all... But I must say I was glad to see these chairs stacked at the end of this sub day. Too many names and minute-by-minute routines to try to remember. Safe to say, subbing isn't my forever-job.
♫♪ "This magic moment" ♪♫ Okay - or not so much. It's creepy, I know. But we laughed. A little something to remember about this night: "I will be pumping iron big time boy"
Freezing rain anyone? I took this photo last night when I was driving inching home from Minneapolis at midnight. A 40 minute drive took me 2 hours and 10 minutes! From what I witnessed, car insurance companies will be quite busy the next few days!
This picture couldn't possibly bring me a bigger smile. I. love. my. job. And this little train gang from program today :) Ben makes the cutest little conductor!
They see beyond my flaws And take time to let me know. Theirs are the envelopes I can't wait to bust open. Theirs are the hugs and conversations I can't wait to get back to. They are amazing friends... And they're mine :)
This time of year... you walk outside and everything seems to fit within the hue range of browns, grays, and off-whites. Everything, except, of course, for these monsters. Not, in my opinion, a pleasant sight.
I knew it would take some time {quite some time} after painting class last spring semester for me to bust these little tubes out... But I also knew I would. I have an idea up my sleeve. Perhaps my ambition is greater than my ability on this one though.
Nevermind the fact that this pic is slightly out of focus... There was a man coming through with his mop and I got a little nervous that my Nikon camera, Anna's scarf skirt, and my pink panthers were scaring the "Goodwill" out of him!
At this particular Goodwill, we happened to (not only find those super HOT outfits but) run into Anna's aunt, meet a lady from Tanzania(!!), and find some actually rather cute (and super cheap) buys!
I love her. Thank God for nights after work like this!
*Oh, and rest easy knowing that we left these items on the "No thank you!" rack.
Let more volunteering begin! Yeah, it's true - not many people will turn you down for volunteer work... So I guess I will take it. I read a story with some adult ed students today and did some oral assessments on their vocabulary knowledge. Interesting. The part I like most is asking them about their lives and goals.
Okay - this photo is way too busy for my tastes and definitely not amongst quality pics... But I love it so much because it brings me right back to trick-or-treatin days... A bunch of us kids, huddled over our Halloween candy buckets, diggin' around to find the best treats! :)
